This little guy was born in our neighborhood. The weather has been so good this past week that it made all the neighborhood critters so happy, they couldn't help dancing.

This was taken at a small creek that runs just on the outskirts of town. Katy and I were getting Spring fever so we decided to take a short photo walk. This was processed using Photoshop and Topaz adjust.

A little photoshop magic. Katy and I were raking leaves when I took this shot. I used topaz remask which I was beta testing to cut her out and add her to the moon. Even though this in not real, it was taken in my back yard.

This is an HDR Pano that was taken at the Portage Quarry in June "09". I needed something to play with when learning about color management and printer and monitor profiling with Spyder3Print and Pro. This worked pretty good, but I am still getting more purple than blue in my prints. I added the reflection and clouds in PS CS4 and did the HDR in Photomatrix. The stitching was done with windows live photo.

I shot this guy at Oak Openings this summer, I kind of just sat on it until I could figure what to do with it. I decided to start messing with black and white because I have NIK silver effect pro and haven't used it. I really like the b/w version of this.

I haven't posted for awhile, just lazy I guess. I shot this pic of this Mallard Duck at Oak Openings park outside Toledo, Ohio. I still consider that part of my neigborhood because I work in Toledo, and go there everyday.

Bambi's Mom came to visit. I think she believes that the grass is always greener on this side of the fence. This was taken at Oak Openings preserve in White House , Ohio

Bowling Green, Ohio had their fireworks last night. The weather couldn't have been better. I got some of the best fireworks shots I've ever taken.

I guess this qualifies for my blog because Bowling Green is only 2 miles away, so that is still my neighborhood.

Happy Fathers Day, I'm willing to bet this guy is a father. Probably a few times over. At least I hope it's a male. I think by his color, he must be, because the other bird that he hangs around with is not quite as colorful and I believe the most colorful to be the Male.

I don't like to feature to many of the same animals, but these guys are my favorites. They are kind of hard to capture because of the shutter speed that you have to use to get them sharp. If you use a flash it makes them mad and they fly away, so you have to use a fast shutter speed and that requires a lot of light.

This little guy came visiting the other day, I think the flash from my camera bothered him because everytime I picked up my camera, he would hide behind some leaves. I finally had to put the camera on a tripod and use a remote trigger to fool the little critter.

This guy wanted to pose for a picture because I believe he just felt left out. He and his wife hung out for a few days to eat some food and take a rest. This shot was post processed in Photoshop CS4, Topaz Adjust, and onone frame pro.

These soldier like pick nik tables are lined up for the winter at Portage Quarry. The quarry opens on Memorial day for swimming and fun. We spend quite a bit of time here in the summer as it has better rules than the public pools. Here you can bring your own food and drinks, and use the grills provided.

This guy came to visit our yard. It's getting harder and harder
to find new subjects as the weather gets warmer. I thing I'm
going to start setting up for Humming bird pics as they should be
migrating north starting this month. I'd love to photograph one and
be able to stop their wings.

This guy was asleep on a branch, right when I got ready to snap the picture, the dog barked and woke him up. Notice the snow on his nose.

A famous photograper once said: I went on a 2 week safari, and made it half way across my back yard. That gave me the idea for this set of shots. All taken in my neighborhood.
